Brrrr!!!!

Low of 38* tonight and scattered frost! We had to turn the furnace back on today. Did I mention it's May 17?? Such is life in Indiana.
On another note, my hubby has been a HUGE blessing to me this week while I've been nearly out of commission. He brought me roses and daisies, fixed me a snack basket and sat it on my nightstand because it was hard for me to get out of bed a couple days and he had to work. And for the same reason, he fixed me up a little cooler with drinks in it and sat it beside the bed too. How sweet is that?? He has totally taken care of me. I'm shocked-he's in the kitchen, mopping the floor right now!! LOL...Woohoo!

Mother's Day

I spent Mother's Day in the ER with uncontrolable bleeding. Saturday and Sunday, I bled through an "overnight" pad every hour and the DR on call at my DR's office said to go to the ER. I got my first catheter! Woohoo. After lots of testing, I was given a script for Provera 20 mg. to take for 10 days, which will slow the bleeding down. Monday was horrible. I woke up, laying in blood. I've been wearing 2 overnight pads & a Depends at the same time, while sleeping on a shower curtain liner.
I'm still waiting on the biopsy results. Today (Wed.) I'm feeling some better. But, I'm REALLY mad that Melinda Doolittle got voted off American Idol!!!!!!! lol

Biopsy

Well, I lived to tell about it! lol It wasn't nearly...not even close...as painful as the previous one I had, so I'm a happy camper!! The waiting is the very worst part!!! I waited for 2 hours the DR to come in!!!! In the meantime, I was so nervous I made 5 or 6 trips to the bathroom!
I'll have the results in a week or so.

New appointment

My nurse called this morning and my biopsy has been moved from May 17 to May 9. YAY! I'm looking forward to getting it over with!
Thanks to everyone for all the prayers going up on my behalf!
I am on 2400 mg of Motrin a day for the pain. The meds numbed me up good enough today so that I was able to get some housework done! That was such a relief as I'm sure Fred is ready to send me away or leave himself! LOL
No, not really. He's a true blessing. Very helpful! I am very blessed!

DR's visit

At my last DR's appointment, I learned that my endometrial lining is too thick and that I need to have a biopsy. I have gone through this before, so hopefully, it won't be a big deal. My biopsy was scheduled for May 17, but I called yesterday to see if I could get it done sooner. I need some relief from ovary pain!
I'm at the library, using their computer as something is wrong with our phone line at home. People can call in and leave messages, but we can't hear the phone ring nor can we get a dial tone. Bummer!

Going Away, Coming Home

Last Sunday, we could not wait to go away for a few days! Fred had a few days off and we rented a cabin in Brown County (Nashville, Indiana). We frantically threw things in a suitcase and took off! We just couldn't get there fast enough.
Three days later, on Wednesday, we couldn't wait to get home!
Sometimes, it takes going away to see how good you really have it at home! This time, coming home was different than it had been in the past. We really wanted to come home. I had an overwhelming peace about where I live, how I live and who I am.
And, I am thankful for all of it.

I'm Back!

Gosh! It's been almost a month since I've blogged! I think I've nearly slept the past month away!
On April 9, I had a miscarriage. Thanks to my ovarian disease and the "irregularity" it brings, I didn't even know I was pregnant. Ever since then, I've had lots of female problems and I underwent some testing last week. They also took SIX vials of blood, which IMO, should be against the law!! LOL Ouch!
Anyway, I'll know more this week, hopefully. I'm scared of what they'll find, but also need some relief from the constant ovary pain and bleeding.
Got lots of photos to add and hope to do that this week.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back!
